Houston Burners: Art Projects

From the early days of CORE (Circle of Regional Effigies) to 2022, Houstonians have brought art projects to Burning Man in the Black Rock desert, an experimental artistic city (70,000+ people) with no spectators and a unique sense of ‘Home.’

Come make your artistic statement, and find out how we burn…. Join the Houston Burners informal artist social on Jan 20th, 2022 hosted by Orange Mike and the Collaborative Houston Arts & Performance Society (CHAPS).

UPDATE: 8-10 PM @ Poison Girl patio (1641 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77006)

If you are a member of the Houston Burners Facebook group, you can see a Zoom Call and passcode for a virtual option 9-9:45 PM.

Come learn more about current projects, artist krewes and resources focused on making and burning art to Houston’s March 17th-20th Unbroken Spring non-official regional event inspired by the 10+ Principles of Burning Man, and teams preparing for bringing art to Black Rock City and beyond.

Need studio space? Need an art crowd to help you build? Houston Burners share a community maker-space at 2016 Johanna Drive, 77055. Come join us for an open house on a Wednesday Church Nite. Check out the Warehouse Facebook page.
