Find details here about upcoming socials and trainings. The social meet ups are a way to get to know each other, learn more about different areas and departments, so bring yourself and maybe a friend to get introduced to some new folks and the ins and outs of volunteering at a burn event.

JANUARY 20, 2022 Burner and UBS Art Q&A

Join the Houston Burners informal artist social. Come learn more about projects, artist krewes and resources focused on making and burning art to Houston’s March 17th-20th Unbroken Spring event, and to Black Rock City and beyond.

JANUARY 29-30, 2022 Volunteer Orientation, Trainings and Social

A weekend of area and department meet ups, volunteer trainings, art/ops projects, and volunteer socials at the warehouse, 2016 Johanna Drive Houston, TX.

Guardians Training – details soon! Volunteer orientation includes a brief ICS overview, training on radio & communication etiquette, an introduction to areas/departments, and on-site volunteer shift sign up.

Art and Ops Projects include painting thematic event signs, making hand sanitizing stations, assessing/repairing pallets, and other miscellaneous equipment review and repairs.
