Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey wrote the following Ten Principles in 2004 as guidelines for the newly-formed Burning Man Regional Network. They were crafted not as a dictate of how people should be and act, but as a reflection of the community’s ethos and culture as it had organically developed since Burning Man’s inception.

Houston Burners too, subscribes to these principles and endeavors to put them into practice as a community at gatherings, workshops, and events both real-world and virtual. To learn more, please visit the excellent Burning Man blog series on the Ten Principles.
